The water was moving fast so the long cast I got from the rod allowed me to get the lure down to depth. The fish always bit on the pause so the sensitivity of the rod helped me pick up on lighter bites in the current. Casted a Shimano Pencil and caught a 80lb Bluefin that I was fighting for 30mins.
I think the blank itself is very stiff.

The line guides (especially the first or stripping guide) are larger than on comparably sized rods by other manufacturers which helps to significantly increase casting distance.

I Bought my first rod from them 4 days ago the rod shipped the same day and got delivered yesterday. i ordered a 7,6 medium twisted tea rod. I obviously had to take it out as soon as the mail ran. well, 3rd cast I hooked into my biggest snook! The rod handled like a charm!!
